The Best Start Resource Centre (BSRC) at Health Nexus has received funding from the Ministry of Children, Community and social Services, (MCCSS) to distribute small grants to help support families, caregivers, and individuals experiencing FASD.

Please plan to join the Best Start Resource Centre for an informational webinar to learn more about the opportunities and how to apply. We are holding it live over a lunch hour with the hope that more can attend by making it a ‘lunch and learn’. The webinar will also be recorded and available online for future reference.

Steve Catney is the Executive Director and Founder of Alliance Youth Services Inc. and has over 25 years of experience in Child Welfare. Alliance Youth Services Inc. operates residential and foster programs for individuals who have FASD, as well as specialized behavioural and learning needs.
Karen Catney, M.Ed., is the Director of Placement at Alliance Youth Services Inc. She is an FASD consultant and educator where she assists treatment agencies, as well as families and caregivers on case management, development and implementation of strategies for those who are caring for or working with individuals with FASD.
Limited Subsidies
**Persons living with an FASD, Parents, Caregivers & Family Members of persons living with a FASD you can apply for a full subsidy to attend (see the registration page to apply for this, we will contact you if you are successful)
Register & pay as soon as possible
$75 registration for Professionals
- $50 registration for Parents, Caregivers & Family Members, or those with a FASD**
- $50 registration for Students: Limited student spaces available
Included in your fees: Continental Breakfast, Hot Lunch Buffet & Refreshments
Special dietary concerns must be submitted by Tuesday, October 16th.
