Parents Helping Parents FASD Ontario Presents- “A Supportive Gathering for Parents and Caregivers With Brenda Knight”
Parents and caregivers share a common goal to maximize the well-being of family members living with FASD.
This three-hour gathering is an opportunity for you to reflect upon and consider approaches to supporting the mental health needs of those we love and care for while reducing risk and optimizing long term outcomes.
Brenda Knight will offer her compassionate, realistic perspective and professional overview of psychological factors which may affect the emotional and behavioural well-being of individuals with FASD over their life span: trauma; adoption; grief and loss; attachment; and communication differences.
Reflections on how these factors affect family relationships, including the consideration of non-affected siblings, will be discussed.
